Privacy Policy
Effective 21 July 2026
In short: Tiplu has no ads, tracking, developer-operated account system, or third-party analytics. Most game information stays on your device. Multiplayer shares the information needed to play with the people at your table, and Apple provides Game Center and in-app purchases.
Who operates Tiplu
Tiplu: Nepali Marriage (“Tiplu”) is developed and operated by Amit Sapkota. Privacy questions and requests can be sent to feedback@amitsapkota.me.
Information stored on your device
Tiplu stores information locally so the app can work and remember your choices. This may include:
- language, accessibility, sound, haptic, rules, appearance, and tutorial preferences;
- solo game progress, match history, statistics, and private Insights;
- the nearby-player display name and avatar you choose;
- completed multiplayer session summaries, aliases, scores, and optional point-tally settings;
- local counters about use of the in-app store and purchase states; and
- purchase entitlements verified through Apple’s StoreKit.
This information is not uploaded to a Tiplu developer server. Deleting the app removes locally stored Tiplu information, although Apple may retain App Store and purchase records under its own policies. Restoring a verified non-consumable purchase may restore access to that purchase.
Nearby multiplayer
Nearby multiplayer uses Apple’s local peer-to-peer technology over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Tiplu shares your chosen display name, avatar, table chat, game actions, and the game or optional tally information needed for the session with connected players. Peer sessions require encryption.
This traffic is exchanged among participating devices and is not routed to or stored on a Tiplu developer server. Other players can see information you share at the table and may retain shared results outside the app. Avoid putting sensitive personal information in your name, aliases, or chat messages.
Game Center multiplayer
If you use online multiplayer, Apple’s Game Center handles authentication, matchmaking, invitations, and transport. Tiplu receives your Game Center player identifier and display name to identify you within a match and exchanges your avatar selection, chat, game actions, and session state with the other players in that match. Tiplu does not store Game Center identifiers or chat in analytics.
Apple processes Game Center information under Game Center & Privacy and Apple’s Privacy Policy. Game Center availability and privacy controls are managed through your Apple Account and device settings.
Purchases and voluntary tips
Apple processes in-app purchases. Tiplu requests product information and receives verified transaction and entitlement status through StoreKit so it can deliver or restore a purchase. The developer does not receive your payment-card details. Apple may retain purchase and transaction information under its policies and legal obligations.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Tiplu contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking. It does not access Apple’s advertising identifier. Limited aggregate store-event counters are kept only on your device and are not sent to the developer.
When you contact support
If you email support, the developer receives the address you use, the content and attachments you send, and standard email metadata. This information is used to answer your request, investigate problems, prevent abuse, and keep necessary support records. It is retained only as long as reasonably needed for those purposes or legal obligations. You may request deletion of a support conversation, subject to any required record retention.
Sharing and disclosure
The developer does not sell personal information. Information is disclosed only as described above: to players you choose to connect with, to Apple when you use Apple services, to service providers needed to receive support email, or when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, or investigate misuse.
Children
Tiplu does not knowingly collect children’s personal information through a developer-operated server. Multiplayer includes user-chosen display names and table chat, so parents and guardians should supervise use and apply appropriate iOS, Game Center, and Screen Time restrictions. Children should not share personal information in multiplayer names or messages.
Your choices
- Solo play does not require Game Center or nearby multiplayer.
- You can decline or disable Local Network and Bluetooth access in iOS Settings, but nearby play will not work.
- You can manage Game Center access, privacy, friends, and restrictions through Apple’s settings.
- You can change your nearby display name in Tiplu.
- You can remove locally stored app information by deleting Tiplu.
- You can contact the developer about support-email information.
Security
Tiplu limits information to what its features need, uses encrypted nearby sessions, validates multiplayer actions, and redacts hidden card information for opponents. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so do not share sensitive information in multiplayer or support messages.
International use
Apple services and email providers may process information in countries other than your own under their respective terms and privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
If Tiplu’s data practices change, this page and its effective date will be updated. Material changes will also be reflected in the app’s App Store privacy information where required.
